hi everyone!
I’m not too sure on where my target/reach schools would be.
I am most worried about my gpa.
I took two Aps sophomore yr, and five junior yr.
my gpa went downhill from sophomore yr. I got five sem bs sophomore yr and five more junior yr.
I have about 3.8/4.0
I have a 32 on my act & 1460
Im low income so I would be applying through questbridge
Im rn looking at schools like emory, rice, nu, but I think they’re all my reach lol
please help! thank you!
What do you want to study? What state do you live in?
I live in IL. I want to study smth healthcare, but not too sure. I also forgot to mention that my school has a very high rigor, but I just didn’t do so well in it haha…
Since you mentioned healthcare… If you are interested in pre-med there are many colleges such as SUNY that have accelerated programs that can help you bypass MCAT to get into their medical school. Of course, the program will be more selective than the school itself but perhaps you should look into that? Other schools that are decent for healthcare/nursing could be: Villanova (nursing), BU (pre-med/accelerated program), NEU, NYU, RPI, etc
Does someone at questbridge help you match to schools? I am not too familiar with the program but have heard it mentioned on here. Also have you sat down with your guidance counselor? I am a parent and I made an appointment with my son’s and she was very helpful. He attends a huge public school not known for its guidance but sitting down with her helped us create a list.
