help me with this physics regent question

I know its supposed to be easy, but I'm confused by this question. Its here, #47, http://www.nysedregents.org/testing/scire/sciarch/psphystestja03.pdf

answer is supposed to be 2. How to do it?

Ahh.. taking a regents?

current in = current out
there are 5 A going in to the node besides the wire with the ammeter, and 7 A going out of the node

Therefore the wire with the ammeter must carrry 7 - 5 = 2 A

Oh i get it. I didnt get what the diagram represented.

One more question though, for #48, the ans is supposed to be (1) 0.333

But I did the calculation and got .94

Help? I can't believe I'm not getting these. IS it just me?

sin(30deg) = .5
anglex is less than 30deg, so sin(anglex) must be < .5

It's choice 3
