Help Me!!!!!!

I don't feel like going to school anymore. Everyone there is so hostile. My counselor won't help me. All you people do is put me down and tell me I can't do anything with my life, that I can't have a job, and don't you know that unless I have job experience, I will be unable to secure a job outside of my parent's company which I need to get my engineering license. So goodbye PE. Sniff, I feel as though I should drop out of college, because what's the point if all that's going to happen is that you're going to be locked up in an Asperger's facility and forced to do menial chores all day long by your parents in order to help your grandpa? Sniff. I don't want to go to school anymore, because I don't have the energy because it's too far from the Asperger's facility my parents set up. I don't want to go to school. I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't want to go to school anymore!

PLEASE HELP ME!!! I want to find God, but he does not exist anyways, so I can't pray. HELP ME, BECAUSE THERE IS NO GOD!!!

Bio:
Reading your posts, I can well understand why your college administrators are not interested in your being a tutor. You are NOT listening. The choice is not between tutoring/a great career or being locked up in an Asperger's facility.
You have gotten lots of great advice. But eveything we say, you are rejecting out of hand. We are not God. We cannot make your Asperger's go away; we cannot provde you with good career prospects; we cannot line up tutoring jobs or dragoon unwilling undergrads to be tutored by you. All we can provide is advice. It's up to you to think through it and decide whether to take it or not.
I'm done, I can do no more for you.

bioengineer: You are in a bad place mentally now. You need to trust your counselor or find a counselor you can trust. You are exaggerating thoughts in your head, and you are having trouble listening to good advice. You seem determined to tutor, when it seems that tutoring is too challenging for you right now. Don't waste your time banging your head against that wall. Let it go. Maybe later you will be able to tutor students, if that is truly something you want to do. Right now, I would recommend that you take pleasure in the things you do well and that you work nice and slowly on meeting some of the goals you have set for yourself. None of us have told you that you will only be able to work for your parents. There are a number of jobs you could do if you inform your employer of your condition and if the employer is willing to make accomodations. Your counselor can help you with your employment search. You really need to work with your counselor to get a handle on your outbursts and your "all or nothing" thinking. We all wish the best for you, as I am sure your own parents do.

It seems clear that this is not an appropriate or useful source of help for a person in as much trouble as this person seems to be in. I believe that replying might almost be against his interests in that it replaces whatever counsel he might be otherwise motivated to seek in a more appropriate place. This is not the right way to go about getting serious help of this kind.

As several people this day and age say: You need to chill out.

I think that the posters on this forum have been trying their best to help you. I'm not exactly sure what else anyone here can do for you if you aren't going to take in their advice. As marite said, you are not listening.

Bioengineer101--it sounds like you may be suffering from depression, which is coloring the way you perceive things. The people on these boards really cannot help you with that, as much as they would like to be able to. You need to get help for the depression, and then you will be much better equipped to deal with whatever challenges are part of your life. You are obviously talented in engineering and have a gift for written communication. I'm sure there is a way for you to use these gifts and make a meaningful contribution to the world. Please get help for the depression and don't give up.

Everyone? I highly doubt that that incident that you had with one girl means that everyone is hostile. Really, as I said before (I didn't have a lot of time before to fully answer the whole post)---chill out.

Who is doing this? I haven't seen any posters do that on here. If your counselor or advisor is not being helpful then you first talk to them some more, and then find a new counselor if your current one is still not helpful.

They have facilities for that? What is PE by the way?

That is a personal decision, but one that needs to be made carefully. I say this sometimes too when I am under stress, but it will not help the situation.

As others have suggested, there probably is nothing more we can do for you here. This is not a counseling service (well it is for college admissions, high school classes, SATS, etc, etc.)--but not one for the type of problems you are suffering. Offline help is obviously needed. Again, if your counselor is not helping you, then you need to find another counselor.
