And if you truly need full ride FA, and also if these schools are hypothetically very high reaches whether because of international, financial need, and or academic/EC record, what is the wisdom in paying $500+ to apply to these schools? This is my last word but I would say it again, do your homework or seek out other help to figure out what is your chance first before going through with it. If it is zero cost to try then I would not worry, but I can’t imagine $500 is something to sneeze about for someone who needs a full ride.

Penn should not be considered a safety school by anyone.
If I were you, I would apply to more than 1 safety school since you never know what will happen either with admissions or financial aid. Don’t forget that safety schools include both admission safety and financial safety.

I’ve got an e-mail from Cornell saying that they understand my situation and that I would not be at a disadvantage. It kinda gave me hope, but I’ll do what ttparent told me. I think that’s my best option. But I’m still applying to Brown, that’s my dream college. Anyway, thanks for helping me out!
