HELP!!!! Midyear Report course level change?

So I sent out my Secondary School Report Form for my counselor saying that I would take Government AP for the SPRING semester.

When I got my schedule in January, I found out that I had actually signed up for level Government, and not AP. I changed my senior courses in the Common App so they would be correct.

I know my school will send another midyear report listing my grades/courses for the fall semester and courses for spring semester.

Am I in trouble because my SECONDARY SCHOOL REPORT FORM differs from my COMMON APP AND MIDYEAR REPORT? Do I have to notify the college with an explanation of this change and how do I notify them? Or will the college recognize there was a course change? I just honestly thought I signed up for AP, but I guess I didn't.

This is not a problem interms of the school understanding the issue. Schools understand that schedules change. When they see that your schedule does not contain this AP class, that could play a small role in the admissions decision, but it shouldn’t be any different than if you had given them the information about your level accurately in the first place.

So I should I ask my counselor to report the change or not?

I’d recommend not.
