I was admitted to UCLA for the fall as a transfer from a calif. city college. I just recently noticed I reported one of my grades as an A instead of my actual grade of a B. As a twist, I actually sent an accurate unofficial transcript from my city college that had all of the correct grades prior to my admission upon UCLA's request. If they had calculated my gpa at the time of the mistake, before receiving my unofficial transcript, they would have thought I had a 3.37 instead of a 3.31. My gpa is now a 3.42 and at the very least I will enter the fall with a 3.40. I am trying to reassure myself because my admitted gpa is lower than what I have now, AND they had a correct copy of my grades prior to admission--but I can't shake the feeling that I could have my acceptance rescinded for having a grade incorrectly reported. I am also worried about contacting the school. I feel I may be creating unnecessary problems for myself as the whole issue may be irrelevant since my gpa is now above my admitted gpa; however, I don't want to do the wrong thing and look as if I am not being proactive. I really don't know what to do.

You likely won’t get rescinded for it, and you can contact the school if you want to but I don’t think it’s entirely necessary. You can ask your professor about the grade discrepancy, but I have a feeling that they won’t consider the work to change your grade if it was an error worth it.

I should clarify, since baktrax seems to have misinterpreted my explanation. Since UC application grades are self reported, I accidentally reported an A instead of a B for that one class. On my UC app, it has this error. However, I noted that I sent an unofficial transcript without the error, that had the correct B grade, prior to my admission.

@anonymous4332 The best thing you can do is be honest about your mistake. I would contact them asap. You may be rescinded if the class was part of your major, but I think you’ll be fine. Good luck.
