A friend of mine is trying to decide between A&M and UT. She's leaning towards UT, but she really wants to know which school's stronger in Biology, since she's interested in pre-med. If you guys can help, that'd be great!

A and M is better, IMO. UT is more for liberal arts and engineering. :-)

Are you serious?? I swear I thought A&M was much better at engineering. UT's better at pharmacy, business, and law.

UT is better in engineering.

I don't know why anybody would want to be an aggy.

Does anyone have the sites where they rank all the schools on how good their departments are? I really need this info.

Ionno. The valedictorian at my school is going there (A&M), he's really smart so I supposed that he knew what he was doing?

lol, A&M engineering is pretty good, but certainly not as good as UT engineering.

MaXlee05, maybe that kid at ur school is going to A&M for a specific major which UT doesn't offer or is not as good at, but in almost all other majors UT is ranked higher. Don't get me wrong both are excellent schools though.

pooooooooooorrr aggy

I'm kinda against going to A&M because of College Station but is A&M really that bad?

I kinda feel stupid but I don't know where to look for medical in there. It's so scrambled.

Thanks hookemhorns, but that's only for graduate school.

Isn't medical = grad school?

Opps, I meant pre-med. Another question, does it really matter where I get my premed?

well, thanks for all the replies!
max-
where you get yout premed will probably matter when you apply for med school. but of course, it isn't everything
