Hei guys:

As an international architect, I am interested on the sustainable design concertration for years. And I am concerning to find a good place in US or Ca for further pursuit of Master. However, as for research, I only find few schools has this program, Could anybud could give me some recommendation? I want to compete for the best.

Thanks all.

Well, first off don't search for mentions of LEED. LEED it is an accreditation program that is just one method that tries to promote sustainable design. That said, I would look at the Solar Decathlon program and see what schools have consistently competed and done well there for a starter. Be sure to check out University of Oregon, University of Washington, Berkeley, Auburn, and Virginia Tech. If you already have a B.Arch, then you might also consider some specialty programs such as USC's Master of Building Science program. I'm sure there are other similar programs out there, that just happens to be the one that I'm familiar with.

thanks man.

As I already have a B and M.Arch background, I was really looking for the best one. for the Solar Decathlon program, they vary every year, but that could be an good hint.

I do focus on the green tech, zero-house, the material, light and acoustic tech, I mean, some very detailed tech which I do need an overall training.

KU's studio 804 just finished a project in Greensburg, KS that was awarded LEED Platinum. I believe there are only about 62 building in the US with this honor. It is the first in KS. KU's graduation studio's are becoming more focused on sustainable design. Especially since the Architectural Engineering classrooms are shared my many Arch courses.
