Help? on UVA

<p>Hey everybody!</p>

<p>Alright so most of you are gonna groan when you hear this but I need help to see if I meet the UVA credentials. </p>

<p>So, here we go:</p>

Sat Scores: 630 on Math, 660 on Verbal, 640 on Writing
Subject Test Scores: 650 on Lit, 780 on US history
(I am retaking the SAT Reasoning test in October)</p>

100 hours shadowing an oral surgeon
250 hours at comfort zone camp as a grieving counselor </p>

<p>You sound like you have a good chance of getting in. Being in-state definitely helps, and you are way above the average incoming GPA of 4.1. Go for it!</p>

<p>i'm in state as well--we're ssooo lucky. looks like a pretty good shot, but you definitely need to get the scores up a bit...things are getting more competitive for instate students, in fact I've heard of several in-state, legacy, shoe-ins with great grades, great scores, and great ecs that have been waitlisted or flat out rejected. but get your scores up and your chances will only get better.</p>
