Help!! SAT II Biology... am I wrong?

DNA and RNA are both nucleic acids that are essential to life. However, they differ in several ways. Which of the following is NOT true about the differences between DNA and RNA?

(A) DNA is double stranded, while RNA is single stranded.
(B) DNA is found in the nucleus of the cell, while RNA is mainly found in the cytoplasm.
(C) DNA contains the nitrogenous base thymine, while RNA uses uracil in its place.
(D) DNA and RNA have different sugars in their sugar-phosphate backbones.
(E) DNA is found in eukaryotes, while RNA is found only in prokaryotes and viruses.

I chose E, but the answer given is A. Is the answerkey wrong? B/c I am quite sure some viruses have ssDNA. :(

remove please, posted in wrong place I think :X

Yeah, your right.
Which book are you using?

RNA is definitely found in eukaryotic cells (siRNA, shRNA, miRNA)

well, i guarantee you that
A and C are not NOT TRUE

^ huh?
o_o

Type 2 viruses have single-stranded DNA
Type 3 viruses have double-stranded RNA

(A) DNA is double stranded, while RNA is single stranded. <-- this is false

Both DNA and RNA are found in eukaryotes.

(E) DNA is found in eukaryotes, while RNA is found only in prokaryotes and viruses. <-- this is false

So the OP has reason to be confused ;)

DNA is found in viruses except for ones that solely reverse engineer with rna? Gosh its been so long don't listen to me.

quote DNA is double stranded, while RNA is single stranded. <-- this is false

[/quote]

how is this false? I'm so confused.

^ it's false because there are some viruses that have single-stranded DNA, and there are other viruses that have double-stranded RNA. So DNA is not always double-stranded, and RNA is not always single-stranded.

Really? I'm really glad they didn't have this question on the June 2008 test.
I would have bombed it. o_o
