I was placed in STD after my first quarter at UCR, I have a GPA of.833 and need to have a cumulative 2.0 by the end of winter quarter.....Can someone help me figure out what grades i need, My advisor said it was possible but wouldnt help when i asked what grades i needed.

If you take the same number of units this winter as you did for fall, you’ll need a GPA of 3.167 for the winter quarter. If you will be taking more or fewer units than Fall quarter, tell me how many units in each quarter, and I’ll tell you what GPA you’ll need for winter.

My fall quarter I took two classes with 5 units and one of 4 units, because i was completely failing one I decided to change the grading from credit/no credit so it wouldnt affect my GPA. Only one class of 4 units and 5 units were calculated for my GPA. So in total i believe it is 9 units for the fall quarter. For Winter quarter I am taking two classes of 4 units and one of 5, in total 13.

I appreciate the help, thank you!!

Sorry it took so long. I never received a CC notification of your response.

You will need a minimum Winter GPA of 2.82 to get an Overall GPA of 2.00 . Of course there are a lot of ways to end up with the minimum GPA, but to put you in the ballpark, 2 B’s and a B- will do it — doesn’t matter which courses. That would give you a Winter GPA of 2.88 and an Overall GPA of 2.05 . Best of luck.
