Same here.

Anybody get their scores today? Anybody get any info from the CB as to when they will be out. I called for son this AM and they told me that should be out later today, possibly tomorrow, and the latest the day after tomorrow. We are still waiting. To date they donot note any problem with his test, or any info.

Hi Northeast Mom,

CB gave me completely different info! (I keep wondering if the people who answer the phone there make it up as they go along.) I was told that everything that was coming out in the Monday run was already up and available on line, but that there would be another run on Weds. Also, they said that if a student's scores show on their screen as unavailable, they have no way of knowing when that student's test will be scored and be posted. At this point, it seems as if the people who answer the phone at CB know whether or not a student's scores are posted, but not much else. Good luck!

i have missing scores as well. first the teaser message was up saying that those who didn't get scores may 23rd would get them may 30th. then CB took that message down, and now has one posted saying that the scores are available. 3 calls to the CB today were not helpful. i would recommend that anyone missing scores call and complain, and be CERTAIN to talk to a supervisor -- don't just leave it up to a clerk, who is going to give you the party line. i have been very unimpressed with the knowledge of the clerks at CB, and you get many different answers to the same question.
it is unfortunate that some of us don't have scores, as we have no way of knowing if the june test is necessary. my guess is that the college board has a real mess on their hands with scoring these essays -- too bad they don't have the guts to post an explanation (or apology) to the students without scores. it's inexcusable.

Ms.ed, did the supervisors give you any helpful, consistent information? I've had supervisors contradict each other as well on some pretty basic information on CB procedures to the point that I have no idea what's going on except that the scores aren't ready!

Wow this is a real mess. The whole change to the SAT was unnecessary. And this can pose problems to those who need good SAT scores before the ED date, because now those that don't have scores can't take the test in June and the next test isn't given till October. I've definently learned to take the test as early as I can when I do take it. I'm sorry for all of you who don't have your scores yet.

No, they mostly were not helpful in any way whatsoever... "We have up to 8 weeks to give you the scores." Plus a lot of, "We don't know." I called my regional office, and finally talked to a human being who was sympathetic, who promised to look into it.

I explained that I do not want to retale this hellacious test for no reason on June 4th if I did well on the May test. It simply isn't fair that some kids have this info, and others do not. It's unfair that some kids know where they need to improve on the test, and others do not.

I just got off the phone with someone at CB who said the scores come out every Monday in batches -- so if you didn't get them yesterday, you won't have them, at the soonest, until June 6th --AFTER the June 4 test. This is just plain wrong. The CB seriously needs to remedy this inexcusable problem.

If anyone doesn't have their scores, I would call their regional office, and let them know how distressing it is. The offices at the 609 numbers that you are provided with online serve a different function from the regional offices, and my experience from talking to them and emailing them is that they don't know, and don't care.

Well Nester I may have been given some incorrect information from customer service, but I hope not. They spoke to the supervisor before telling me about scores coming out later today, possibly tomorrow, and by the latest the day after tomorrow. I cannot believe some will not have the scores by the next Sat date.

I called them and they said they will release all the scores by June 13th. This is so unfair. That is even after the date when they mail us.

ms. ed. I got the same responsE!!
check next monday. but then i started getting all mad and telling the lady about hwo the june sat is in like 4 days nad i need my score. "WELL, we have 8 weeks!!" Ugh .. i waste to much time checking for my scores. ANDDD i took the test normally (no standby, international). AH

Wow! Who told you that, customer service? I agree about the unfairness.

someone ought to get a paper like the new york times to do a story on this. this is not a level playing field, and CB clerks are not going to solve the problem.
again, i would call my REGIONAL OFFICE (check the website under "contact us" link) and let them know what is going on.

northeast mom:
yes, customer service at the 609 area code numbers. I have heard it twice. if that's the case, they should withhold all scores until they get their act together...

My son took two SAT II tests in May. He has yet to get his scores for those tests. He has called the CB at least six separate times since May 23 and has been told something different each time he has called. He called the CB twice today. First, he was told that the scores would be available later today or possibly tomorrow at the very latest. The second call he was told it might be up to ten weeks before his SAT II scores would be available. He asked to speak with the supervisor to no avail. He was asked for his phone number with a promise that a supervisor could call him later. So far no supervisor or anyone has returned his call. It is inexcusable that CB does not have the INTEGRITY to post an accurate explanation, at the very least, to the students without scores. That is what makes this an entirely unacceptable situation more than anything. I am extremely concerned and disappointed about the deplorable example that CB is giving our students as well - that honesty, integrity, taking responsibility to follow through with commitments made are not values to be honored. CBs actions toward these students have been reprehensible!

Hi all--

I truly hope the info Northeast Mom was given is correct, but I'm concerned that the CB personnel who answer the phones at (609) are not well informed. I've followed Ms.ed's advice and called my regional office which acknowledged the problem and promised to follow up. I'll let you all know what happens. Do post if and when your scores become available. Thanks!

Nester, When I called the regional office they were of less help. They claim that they only work with schools for waivers...(i don't know what that means) and they sent me back to the 609 #(deep sigh). They told me the scores that most likely would be posted today would go up between 2-4 EST and that time has now passed (another sigh). I will try the regional office again.

Well I just tried the regional and they again referred back to the 609 #, but they said the scores are posted only once a week and this is automated. Their suggestion was to speak with a supervisor at the 609 #.

That's awful, NortheastMom! I just sent you a PM urging you to do what you've already done without it being helpful! Assuming you're in the northeast, I think that your regional office might be the headquarters. Maybe they're feeling a tad defensive given that they've created a public relations fiasco. I wonder if you'd get the same response if you went south a region?

Well they were polite and did not seem defensive, but it did not help. I think I called the same regional office that you did-212#( if I remember what you stated in a previous post).

I sent a message about this problem of missing scores and the ineptitude (and seeming indiffernce) of the College Board to the New York Times:

nytimes@newyorktimes.com

Who knows, if enough people who have been denied their scores contact them, it might get their attention. The situation creates an inequity in the test that the CB would have you think that they are not a party to. Everyone will get their scores eventually -- it's just that those who don't are forced to prepare for the next test blind -- or suffer through yet another exam when they don't really need to take it at all!
