Help!!! Still No Score?

Okay, at this point everybody is probably tired of hearing the sagas of when these scores will be released, but I did speak with somebody who seemed knowledgable. She told me that there was to be a scoring run last night which is why my son was told at one point that he would have his scores on Memorial Day (I guess Memorial Evening?). That scoring run never happened. She told me that there is supposed to be one this evening, but " is no longer promising anything in this business". If that run does not occur then it will occur tomorrow or the next. My sons scores should be nearly immediately available after that scoring run I was told. I was told that my son's test will be in that scoring run (she says she was able to check and confirm this).

to northestmom:
it sounds as if you had the great fortune to speak to someone who is very close to what is happening specifically as it relates to your son's test. Props! What dept did you contact to locate such a person?

Well, I just called the 609 # and got lucky, very lucky.

the CB page pertaining to scores will be down between 5 to 7 a.m. tomorrow -- so don't anyone set your alarm early, thinking you are going to get lucky...though maybe this is an auspicous sign that people are actually working on some aspect of this!

The latest I was told by someone (609, scores dept., higher up than normal) at College Board is that 20 per cent of people don't have their scores for the following reason: The tests are scored by machine in Illinois. If something goes wrong with the automated scoring process (such as a number not matching up) the test is sent to New Jersey, where it will be hand scored. The people in Jersey will not be working on these tests tonight (why not?!) -- I was assured of that. They will be working on them Wednesday night. All I was told was to check the website for scores on Thursday.
How simple it would be for the CB to post an explanation of some sort on their website.

What I don't understand is the order in which tests are graded. Everyone in my school in California has their scores back except me. How is the order decided? I would think that all the unscored tests would be from the same location.

For the people who haven't recieved their scores yet either: Have the people sitting in the same room in your testing center recieved their scores?

yes, a good friend of mine sitting near me in the same room got her scores on time. but she took only one SAT2 .. i took 2? i dont think that matters though

Can anyone tell me the exact day that the score comes out??/ thanks.

sophy, i would be really happy if anyone could give an accurate answer to that question.. but it seems that no one knows... and the people at CB seem to be giving a different date every time i call...

This morning we still have no scores......

no scores yet :-(

Still not received any scores. Looks like almost all the internationals and quite a few americans haven't got their scores. This is getting ridiculous.

i called the CB today in an effort to get my scores by phone. i was told they would be available JUNE 12th! If your scores aren't online, they won't have them by phone either, but they will give you some information that they have about the score release date (although who knows if it's accurate...)

i explained how unfair this situation is -- that i have to go into the june test blind, not knowing if it's even necessary. the clerk agreed, and said that people ought to write the college board to complain.

Here's something cute. CB just responded to an email inquiry telling me that if the scores weren't posted in EIGHT WEEKS, I should get back in touch. So much for putting it in writing...

Scores were still not up and I was told that there was a scoring run last night (the one that my son's test was included in). I was told today that it takes 24 hrs. to post after the scoring run, although yesterday the supervisor said the scores get posted almost immediately. Again different info with each call.

i cant believe u guys didnt get ur scores back. I just recieved mine in the mail yesterday.

Nester:
the cb email responses that i have received re the missing scores have had the same, indifferent, tone. they really feel your pain over there!

Nester, the supervisor said in a nice tone that they have 8 weeks to get the scores out. She did say I am a parent and if I were told this I would not be happy either, but in fact, we do have 8 weeks to get you the scores....

This is frightening. I was kept on hold for at least 20 minutes when I asked for a supervisor. While on hold the Rep told me something really scary. Some people from March are still waiting for scores!!!!!!! Additionally there are some people who have not gotten scores from tests taken years ago bcs they never called!!!!!!! I am at a loss for words. After all of that cheery information the supervisor asked for my phone # bcs he/she cannot get off another call. I can only imagine. I asked when I can expect a call back. The customer service rep said that he did not know. I asked if it would be today and he could not answer this either! I think I will just call and wait for another rep.

i think it is safe to assume that they might have misplaced ur test
