Help! Trying to figure out about student loans...

<p>Ok, so my parents were unemployed for a year but UVA managed to find an excuse that my parents can pay EVERYTHING. So we got a stafford unsub loan. We thought the reconsideration letter would be processed and done by july and one of the financial people at orientation said it would be coming soon. So I'm trying to do quickpay and they want us to pay semester bill by august 13.. </p>

<p>ACcording to uva, I have to pay 4,404.00 by the 13th. Which includes my loan and scholarships..I originally owe like 8,000 something but the lady was saying the loan and scholarships pending make it 4,404..so the loan lender for us is Wachovia. I applied for student loans already and wondering, can I get more loans from wachovia separate from what UVA already awarded me. and they already told me no more private loans..</p>

<p>PLEASE HELP. I'm trying to figure this out on my own since my parents never went to college and wasnt born here!</p>

<p>You can get more private loans as long as they are not requiring the school to certify you for it.</p>

<p>No not yet. but I don't have time right now to go to other lenders to pay til august 13th..my fault for not doing this ahead of time :(
but do you know if parents PLUS is? is that private</p>

<p>Parents PLUS is also federal. They evaluate your parents' credit score for that</p>
