<p>I'm in a bind here. I got accepted into both the University of Maine and the University of Florida. Florida has always been my dream school but as of right now I am seriously considering Maine. I know the academics at Florida are better but when I was at the school in Maine, I felt something that I hadn't at Florida. I felt like I belonged there, a connection of sorts. I am going to study Zoology and really just am unsure of what to do. </p>
<p>Here's some of the reasons I'm considering each school:</p>
<p>Umaine- Accepted to the honors college, $40,000 scholarship over the 4 years, clubs and activities that interest me, research opportunities</p>
<p>UF- better academics, higher job placement, name recognition, higher ranking in my major</p>
<p>What would you do? What should I do? I realize a lot of you are going to say "Do what you want to do" and I will, but I want some more opinions on the matter. Thanks</p>
<p>Net price after applying scholarships and financial aid at each school? How much debt would you have to take on at each school?</p>
<p>As of right now, Umaine $26,000 a year with that scholarship applied. Florida just announced their decision today and I will receive the physical letter and financial aid info from them next week. The cost of attendance at UF for one year is $43,120 with no aid or scholarships.</p>
<p>The four year difference of $68,000 is probably about double what a new graduate in a biology major is likely to make in his/her first year out of college. Be very careful if you need to take on that much additional debt.</p>
<p>Is it likely that Florida will offer you financial aid or scholarships? Wait until that is known before making your final decision.</p>

<p>Yeah it’s very likely ill get money from them, how much is uncertain. And no other choices. Those were the 2 I applied to because at first Florida was my first choice and Maine was a safety but like I said, now I’m not too sure</p>
