Submit it now and then send your SAT Scores later when you get them or blindly send them if you’re fine with that. But at least they’ll have your app and all they have to do is add your SAT scores later and not scramble to put everything together.

It won’t actually matter when you send your application if your SAT scores aren’t with them. They don’t consider an application “complete” until they have all of your materials and they won’t even look at it at all until it is complete. If you’ve taken the SAT previously and sent scores, then your application could be considered complete and you could update your file with your new scores when you have them. But, if you are just sending your application and then sending your first SAT’s later in December or January - your application won’t be considered complete until you send the SAT’s. That being said, admission gets more competitive for anyone applying with a complete application after November 30th, so just be aware of what to expect.

My Oct SAT score is 1830. I was hoping to improve my score in December. Should I add the October scores in the testing section of CommonApp and send December’s later on? Or should I skip out October completely?

I agree with Twinmom…Send it in prior to November 30 if that means your application will be complete (that means send them your Oct SAT scores). Then, retake the SAT and update the scores in December. If by some chance you hear prior to that and are denied, you can ask to be reconsidered with the new SAT score. But I think it’s unlikely that you will hear back that soon anyway. But applications become more rigorously considered after Nov 30th, so if you can, submit prior to then. I think an 1830 is fine…

Also, in the testing section of CommonApp it asks “Number of SAT scores you wish to report”. Does this mean the number of sittings I’ve had before? Or the both one I’ve sat for already and the one I will sit for in the future?
