Tense. Should be "has won"

Idiom "capable of"

body is singular, should be "has"

"they" is ambiguous, could be either the concepts or the students

Not sure about 5 and 6, but I think 6 might be "separating with"

^ ok thx one more thing:

Even the president of the corporation is expected to dress in casual clothing, this policy creates an extremely relaxed work environment.
A) this policy creates an extremely relaxed work environment
B) with this policy creating an extremely relaxed work environment
C) and an extremely relaxed environment in which to work being the result of this policy
D) and this policy creates an extremely relaxed work environment
E) an extremely relaxed work environment is created by this policy

The answer is D, but isn't that a run on sentence?

i agree with liebenasuka on 1-4
not sure on 5
6. "being separated from" is my best guess shrug
7. D is not a run on because there is a comma before the "and". the two independent clauses "even the president.....casual clothing" and "this policy....work environment" are correctly separated by a comma and conjunction in answer choice D

For 5, I think it should be clearer, not clearly.

^ iono but imo clearly sounds better

6 is easy. There should be a passive construction (separated from their owners)

what book is this from?

rocket review...i took the tests and wow the writing/cr sections were so hard in it T.T i normally dont find writing sections hard

5 is weird as ***. Isn't the proper construction "preventing ... *from ...". What am I missing here?

I don't know why some people tout Rocket Review's practice test as being an accurate test. When I first started the Rocket Review test, I thought the first section of math was accurate, but after I did another math section of the test I started feeling a little weird.

But once I took a look at the reading section, I knew that the test was garbage. That's just what I think.

i realized the same as raller did.
prevent is followed by from.
preventing him or her from speaking clearly should be correct.
u probably underlined the wrong section of the sentence.
4. such concepts i guess
6. my guess would be "after they are separated from"
