I've only taken the SAT's once and i plan to improve my scores hopefully by 100 points in each section. I didn't prepare well enough the first time</p>

second time hopefully SATs will be around 2190</p>

<p>I have decent extra curriculars i think.
I've been on varsity soccer, varsity basketball, and varsity volleyball for four years and my school does have JV. I've received numerous awards like MVP and all-star for all three sports. I've been named all-city for basketball. I also got Most Outstanding athlete for the past two years from my school. I have around 100 hours of community service.
Over the past two summers i've worked a basketball camp and gone to basketball camps because i am hoping to play D3 or D2 in school if i go to one of those type of schools. This summer i'm interning for a fortune 500 company on Wall Street so i hope that looks good. </p>

<p>I know schools like Duke and Stanford are extreme reaches but i hope they take into account the upward trend crap and my essays.

<p>You definitely have an upward trend, retake SATs and you shall have some chance.</p>

<p>if you want to play hoops in college, why do you only have 2 D-3 schools on your list?</p>

<p>Actually three of those are Division three and they're just the three that i've been in contact with about playing. I'm not really sure if i definetly want to play though because it takes a huge amount of time on any level. I might just want to go a big school and play within the student body.</p>

<p>Luckily for you, Michigan gets rid of your freshman grades when calculating your UM GPA. Your UM GPA is about a 3.6 (depending on that A- or B+) which is about average. SATs are around average. It's about a 50/50 chance at Michigan. </p>
