Help with FAFSA

Hi,

I am not a US Citizen, but have an I-94 Visa. Can I apply for FAFSA even though I am not:
"Refugee,”
“Asylum Granted,”
“Cuban-Haitian Entrant,”
“Conditional Entrant” ), or
“Parolee”
I am in the United States as a dependent because my parent has a working visa. thanks

If your I-94 visa does not designate you in one of the categories you mention, then you are not considered to be an eligible noncitizen and you are not qualified to receive federal student aid.

I don’t think you have an I94 “VISA”. You need to get the details on what you actually are admitted to the US under, you are canadian, correct? You have lived in the USA for 10 yrs? What visa do your parents have? Are they Canadian citizens? Why so long without looking at PR?
Like as not you are going to be international, period, unless your parents have a secret green card. Some states though, have slightly different variable, if you attended high school, etc, you would have to google that for your instate option. Not for fafsa but for instate rates, which could be much more valuable if you have a higher income parent as per professional expats anyway.

Check your status against any of the categories listed here:
