I have already filled out my FASFA in March, since then it has already been processed. If I have received scholarships (750/semester, 700/semester, 2250/semester, and 500/semester) and my EFC is 00000, about how much financial aid should I receive. My GPA is a 3.0 also. When will I know for sure how much my Financial Aid should be. Thanks.

Has your school not told you yet? It is the school that tells you your financial aid package. Most schools have already informed their students of FA for the following year. (Though if you are a returning student, some may inform returning students later). If you are a freshman and accepted to a school I am very surprised they have not told you yet. You need to ask them. (also, and very important, check that they are not waiting on more data from you - such as verification data, tax returns etc)

I have already applied and been accepted, but I haven’t registered for my classes yet. maybe that is the problem. On the FAFSA website, it says that my application has been processed.

No, it does not matter whether you have registered for classes. Aid offers are usually made long before anyone registers for classes. You need to contact your school.

Some schools don’t make offers by mail, but just update the information on the students page on the schools computer system. Have you checked to see that the information is not there on a web page somewhere?

If there is no aid information out there, have you checked to make sure they have not requested verification documentation? Some schools will not process anything FA related until verification documentation is received.

Also, check to make sure you filed the correct FAFSA (2011-2012). Students sometimes file the wrong one and then wonder why they receive no aid.

Maybe I should contact the school because I don’t know what the holdup is.

Did you get any kind of message that indicated that your EFC had been raised/changed?

BTW…it’s irrelevant what your friends received, they may have lower EFCs.

I know when my D went to Brooklyn College, then never sent her any financial aid paperwork. We had to go to the FA office at the school to find out.
