Help with High School Schedule?

Hi! I’m going to be a Sophomore next year, and my schedule this year is:
Photography
Geometry Honors
World Studies
Survey of Composition/Literature
Spanish II
Biology Honors
P.E.

I’m taking all honors available except Spanish II Honors (there is no English or History honors for freshman year at our school)

I’m really not sure what I want to take next year. The classes I know I want to take are:

AP European History (MEHAP)
World Literature Honors
Chemistry Honors

Classes I’m not sure about:
Spanish III honors-I’m taking Spanish II right now and I have an A, but just barely (93%). I have a really good teacher right now, but I’m not sure how I’ll do next year…Is it worth it?

Algebra II- I really don’t want to take honors math next year, since I’m pretty sure I’m taking one AP and three honors, and that’s really enough for me now. Algebra II is a notorious class at my school; the subject isn’t hard, but the teachers give you tests every day and teach the material AFTER the test. Also, they put trick questions on the test. Some of my friends are in it this year and say it’s horrible. My question is- is it going to harm me significantly if I don’t take math honors next year? Are colleges going to look down on it?

Orchestra- I’m not taking it this year because it’s non-audition for freshmen (aka it sucks). I’m pretty sure I could get into the chamber orchestra next year, but should I take the class? Will is strengthen my violin extra-curricular or does it not make that much of a difference? I’m not really sure if I want to lug my violin to school every day (I bike), so I really only want to take this class if it’s really worth it college app wise

PE- I might not have to take PE next year if I get into the badminton team this year. The problem is the season is coming up in two or three weeks and my school still hasn’t found a coach. So If I don’t get in or it doesn’t happen should I take PE next year for credits or do an after school sport such as track or cross country for two years instead? The after school sports are only one season but I would have to take them for two years (so Sophomore and Junior year) and they usually run from 3:30-6:30, on weekends, and during vacation

ASB- It’s a student body/government thing. You have to audition/interview to get in, but I think I could.

The newspaper- Again, you have to interview and submit works to get in, but would it be worth a shot?

AP psych- I kind of want to take this class even though it’s a ‘fluff’ AP, but I’m pretty sure junior year I’ll be way too busy with other APs to take it. If I take it this year, I would probably take two APs and two honors (no spanish or math honors). Which pathway would look better? I’m not sure if I can handle two APs since it’ll be a big jump for me next year even without two.

I’m so sorry for writing this much, but the bottom line is, what classes do you think I should take? I have my heart set on the ones I said I was sure of, but the rest I’m still debating on, and it would be really nice to get some insight from people who have gone through it already. So with those 3 classes, I still have 4 class periods available. I either have to take Spanish and Alg II honors or regular, but the other two periods I can choose any elective or PE.

What classes should I choose? I want my schedule to look good and be challenging, but still definitely manageable. I am NOT suicidal and would love to come out of next year in one piece.

Thanks for reading all of this if you’re still sticking with me, sorry that i wrote so much!

I am taking honors chem and AP Euro right now and they are my two favorite classes, I like honors chem so much I am taking AP Chem senior year!!! If I were you I would stick with Spanish for at least another year, you probably want to look at colleges you are interested in and see what they recommend, most colleges require two but some do recommend four years. As for Algebra, do you enjoy math or are you going into a math related field? If you are interested in a math field I would do honors. I honestly can’t give you much on music, i quit in 7th grade…anyway again I think it’s all about whether you enjoy it or not. And your PE situation is really confusing but if I were you I would talk to some upperclassmen to see what you do in the class and if it’s really that bad. I would for sure go with the ASB if you have time! And as for AP Psych if you can’t fit it in junior year, maybe senior year? I know its a really fun, easy class!
