Help with list and finding "safeties"

I’m sorry, I’m gonna go off topic here, but this is the second thread in a row that I’ve seen this. Why aren’t you taking an English class? I understand that you do not like English, but the class is fundamental and not taking a class will certainly downgrade your application.

While that may be how USC sees meeting need it is not meeting need in my eyes. I have no idea why loans count as meeting need in FA. My 2 cents.

Admit one, thank you. I have been fluctuating back and forth with the ivies, but I will definitely reconsider them.

Fineartsmajormom, I think you’re correct. I have neglected to seriously consider those schools but now that I am fully realizing the costs of a lot of these schools, I think your suggestion is great. My parents seem to think that paying a great deal for college will be okay later on. But guess who gets to pay all that off later? So thanks, and I will look at those CTCL! Now picking the right ones to apply to…

Longhaul, thanks and USC is definitely on my list. I will check out those other schools this weekend. Brown- different in what way? I was attracted by the way they seem to be very lax on what you choose to take. The “core” classes that other schools offer seems like too many history classes to me… Do you have any suggestions for similar schools?

Typeakid, I am taking AP literature this year. I might have forgotten to mention it. And I don’t like history, well actually I do, but I seem to not study enough and therefore not do so well.

Erin’s Dad, wait so, they meet your need by letting you take out loans? Uh yeah I agree with you definitely!

Ok then, just got really mad after all these people with no English classes started to pop up and I needed to vent .
