I am really in a bad mood. I was refused a US visa. The interviewer did not bother to check my father's assets. She only checked his Bank statement. I am scheduling an interview tomorrow. What do you think I should do? Should I ask my school for help? or I should petition the conular general?. Also does anybody know somebody who got a visa after been refused the first time? Also which is more important the bank statement or assets. I had half the school fees in my father's bank and my father has assets over $400,000 which my interviewer did not bother check.

You should have it easily once you have an I 20 and good scholarships. The only thing the interviewer looked was my I 20 before issuing a Visa.

what reason did they give for refusing the visa? i am guessing that told u that u do not have sufficient funds. in that case u should have told the interviewer right there about the documentation for assets that u provided. i believe that should be enough for them to grant u a visa. i think the reason for refusal is the key here...yes i know someone who got a visa after he was refused the first time...he applied again after a month or so and that time he was approved. good luck.
