I can't pick from Physiological Science, MIMG (Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics), and MCDB (Molecular, Cell, Developmental Biology).

All three are appealing to me from what I've read on CC and the class requirements, so I was hoping some former or current UCLA students could give additional input into each major like pros/cons, what you liked/didn't like about it, it's difficulty, etc.

This isn't really relevant since med schools don't care what major you are, but I do plan on going to med school. I would like a major that would allow me to (more easily) get a job during my break between undergrad and med school.

I don't mind memorization; it's something I'm good at.

I guess it’s not based on what you really like, they’re just appealing??? You may want to research internships that are available to you (and that you will like) in your area with those majors. See which majors are marketable and make sure you LIKE the major.

I’m not really sure what you’re trying to say. I can’t know if I like them or not because I’m not actually taking any of those classes yet. I can only say that I find them * appealing * from what I’ve read about them on CC and from what I’ve seen about the classes required for those major.

So, technically, those are the three majors that I “like” right now and I’d like a bit of input from other students to see which would be the right choice for me.

I’m trying to say that you should enjoy your major and make sure it’s something that is going to make you happy when you study it, even if it is difficult. You need to make sure that all of the sleepless nights are worth it because you really like the study of the subject. Med School interviews will be tough if you don’t like your major.

@aunt bea: It can be inferred that the poster is going to enroll as a undergraduate for upcoming fall 2013 and thus so how would know he know which major he would “enjoy” when he has no experience with any at all. All three majors are science based so it shows he likes science, that is good enough for those three majors to be appealing. Also med interviews has no relation to someone’s major so it would make no sense that interviews would be tougher if you don’t like your own major…I believe you’re over glorifying majors in undergrad too much as for premeds undergrad and majors are almost irrelevant to them ~college is just a 4 year stepping stone to med school for premeds.

@sphan95 I have no input, I plan on doing biochem. I just felt like clashing against comments :x.
