Help, Work Study and subsidized loan

Well I got awarded work study from my college but I have been having a really though time finding a job. I have applied to multiple positions but I haven't got called back. So I was wondering if there was any way I could just cancel my work study and have that money transferred to my subsidized loan. Also, the parent plus loan is not an option for me, and if the money can't be transferred is there anything else that I can do?

How much is your loan and what year are you in school?
Were your parents turned down for a Plus loan?

Emerald’s questions are relevant because you are limited in the amount of subsidized as well as unsubsidized loans you can take each year. As a freshman, for instance, you may take up to $3500 in subsidized Stafford loan. If you are not already awarded that amount, you can take the amount left. You also have an additional $2K available to you on an unsubsidized basis.

If your parents do not qualify for a PLUS, if they are offficially turned down, you can borrow an additional $4K in Stfford Direct loans in your own name.
