Hello guys.

I started posting my questions on this forum not too long ago and i actually find it very helpful. I took the June 6th SAT and you really don't wanna know my score. Anyways, I'm taking the Oct test and i will be in the US by that time hopefully.

I need your guys help because i struggle so much with looking up words in Dictionary.com i waste so much time looking up words i encounter during my prep.

For example today i looked up the word "Litter" then went on to "Strewn" then went on to "Scatter" and so on...

I'm on the edge of giving up on the test. Has anyone of you experienced this especially international students?

It would help me so much if you know a website or an idea that can make this less stressful and frustrating!

Thank you very much

If learning vocab is proving to be troublesome, you might need to try a different mnemonic device. Try flashcards (either physically or online at a website like Quizlet). Another option is an app like Mindsnacks (found on the Apple app store, filled with mini-lessons and entertaining games, although I’m not sure if it is available internationally). Or, a book like Direct Hits or SAT Vocab Cartoons (you should be able to find them on Amazon - you don’t need both).

Don’t give up. Cling to the silver lining - know that a good SAT score will help you get into a good college. And, know that you’re not alone. Make sure to not study hard, but to study smart.

Hope this helps! Good Luck! :)

Thank you very much for your reply it’s really appreciated.

I have both Quizlet and Mindsnacks installed on my iPhone and it’s time to test them out. :)
