Check with each school to make sure. The last time I checked the college board site list was not up to date with 2017 schools who required PROFILE and NCP forms. For example Ursinus and Goucher have both gone FAFSA only this year which should benefit you. Both had required PROFILE in the past and one had required the NCP form. It may be fully updated but each school is always your best bet.
I would suggest you look at Allegheny, I would think you could get up to 28k in merit which could put you closer to 30. For all you are past priority merit deadlines (which does but your strong stats may help at some of these.
I’d recommend talking to kids at those schools. I know kids at several of the ones listed: Elon, JMU, Delaware and there is something for everyone there-scholars, partiers, and even scholar/partiers (yes, they can mutually exist). As far as I have heard, most of the schools you listed are fairly low key with regards to Greek life, a major contributor to the “party” element. Be careful when promoting stereotypes and stop others from promoting them. You might skip a really good opportunity which might include merit and recognition. The funny thing is that the top party schools in recent polls (if you believe in polls) don’t even include those schools. The top party schools listed-2017 Princeton Review.
University of Wisconsin-Madison.
West Virginia University.
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Lehigh University.
Bucknell University.
I would advise you to do your own research and be careful who you ask. At any larger school, there are bound to be students of many different types and that is precisely the type of exposure you might like: a true reflection of society. Meet with kids in your major who have similar interests. Think about cost and programs. Prioritize what is important to you and “Learn to love the schools that love you” (great quote from an earlier post!) Read the book- “Where You Go is not Who You’ll Be” by Bruni.
Best wishes!
My daughter is a sophomore at Rollins, from NJ and loves it. It is strong academically, personalized attention from professors is the norm and it is beautiful. She has made great friends, there is lots to do and it’s only about 25 minutes from Orlando Airport with easy access and many cheap fares. They use the profile with the application and are pretty generous with merit money, plus they have more girls than guys so maybe that will help you get more aid. Lots of kids from all over the us, particularly from the northeast.
