help!

For a career choice, I would like to be a pharmacist and I don’t really know if Emory is the best undergraduate school for that. Basically my question is Emory known for its pharmacy program and opportunities for undergraduate students? I’ve been accepted into the University of Georgia and I know they have a college of pharmacy for their undergraduate students, so right now I’m choosing between there or Emory. Thanks for any help!

@iloveavocados
For what you want to accomplish UGA sounds like a better deal, as its most likely close to free as you are instate. However, if Pharmacy isn’t certain (as it most likely isn’t) Emory might be the better choice as you have the choice of Bio-chemical research. Which could lead into Pharmaceutical research down the road. However I’m sure you haven’t gotten into Emory yet so, you should waif and see if the decision isn’t already made for you yet.

@iloveavocados : That is up to you. UGA has a great pharmacy program for undergrads, but Emory is more for people who envision themselves doing research in the field, those who may major in something like biology, chemistry (or both), and neuroscience. Drug discovery and pharmacology are really big at Emory. UGA will give you more of the vocational approach in your classes, whereas Emory will give you a foundation approach for research careers AND if you want, you can go for a graduate pharmacy degree afterwards. Depends on what you want. If you have tunnelvision towards being a pharmacist, I guess UGA. If you just want super strong training across a variety of related areas and access to top notch pharmacologists and drug discovery related research, Emory I guess. Also depends on affordability.

@VANDEMORY1342 @bernie12 yeah I haven’t gotten in lol, I guess this is more of a theoretical question if i do, but thanks so much for the feed back!!!
