Help?

I currently live in QC... and i was kind of thinking about ivy league schools, or maybe even Mcgill...I have no clue what SATs are so when i was reading other stuff it didn't really help much... But. I still dream of being a great pediatrician, i searched up Harvard and it's currently holding the top spot for med school for pediatrics.. although im still only grade 10.. i have a lot of schooling left.. but i wanted to start sooner rather than later, and then realizing i didn't do enough... So i was wondering.. what classes i should aim for.. and i heard that to become the doctor, it's not all about the marks, but also the drive? and also..im not exactly a major in math or anything..it's actually my lowest mark (80)..but i have high marks in science? (98) I wonder if that's going to have an impact later on...

I've also been wondering, since I'm in canada, will it be a HUGE problem to be an international student? :S And if there are what kind of problems do internationals encounter?

Thanks for your time ;D

First of all, med schools don’t teach specialties. Whether you plan to go into surgery or pediatrics, you will get the same med school education.

Specialty-specific training is done during residency (after med school). For peds, the most prestigous place to train would be CHOP (although that’s of little concern to you right now).

Thanks for your suggestion ;D And im sorry that i sound like an ammateur. I know that specializing comes after med school, but i clearly didn’t state that properly, and thank you for pointing out that mistake. ;D I also know that im really young and don’t need to worry about anything yet, but i still do, and i got a long way to go. Thanks ;D

ummmm… arent there good schools in canada? cuz it is expensive here in the States just for kids who want to go out of state it is probably worse for international students plus passports and stuff like that…

Ouuuu, yeahh… I was thinking of staying too. But i don’t know. I’m just taking any suggestions right about now. :S xD ehehe. I’ll just work hard, and see where it gets me one day… I’ve already signed up for a lot of volunteer. i’m studying for exams trying my best, and hopefully i will get where i want ;D Thanks a bunch though. ehehe. yeah, I asked my cousins in Cali about the expenses and everything, but my family was actually thinking about moving over to cali as well, so who knows where i’m going to end up ;D
