Thankful for having the family and friends that I have. Thankful for being able to attend school. Thankful for this Thanksgiving break. And most of all, thankful for the whole CC community that is so supportive and successful.

I am thankful for my ever-forgiving and supporting friends (seriously I don’t know anyone else besides two close friends of mine who would be willing to come over on a school night to build a crazy awesome costume for a big contest the next day). I am thankful for my family, having seen so many broken ones. I am thankful for my financial security, in that I never have to worry about getting food on the table or scramble to find enough money to pay this month’s bills. I am thankful that my parents, despite their overbearing attitude sometimes, care so much about me. I am thankful for the talents and abilities I have, and by knowing my shortcomings, I appreciate them more. And the most important one: I am thankful for my parents’ decision to emmigrate from China to brave the bitter poverty they were in for several years in the US. Without this amazing sacrifice they made to start from scratch in the US (whereas they could have been the heads of hospitals and/or held other prestigious positions in mainland China), I, the 2nd born child of the family, would not have had the pleasure of enjoying life in this world.

I
m thankful for my family and friends, glad I have all that I have. Thankful for living in a great country like America, when other aren
t quite as lucky.

I just wanna thank God
For all the pretty women he let into my life
All the Benjamins he let me count
Wealth and health, for my family
And lettin’ me BALL on these ni**as
