Thanks for any help that you might be able to give! ^_^

First of all, can i get all your grades? (As Bs Cs) Your SAT seems way too low, your GPA could be higher, but the schedule rigorous.

I’ll make a better assessment after i have your grades.

All you really need to do is get your SAT score up + your GPA needs to be a bit higher.
Your IB course load definitely helps, and so does being a URM.

^^
What do you mean by grades? Like what I have on average?
It seems like I have an equal amount of A’s and B’s.

^
Thanks.
I plan to do some SAT prep to help bring it up, and i’m working on my G.P.A.

I mean what you have in each individual class.

^
That I do not know. My teachers have not given me my year to date grades yet.

But if you just need my grades, as in what I just got on my report card, here they are

English-B
ESS- A minus
Math-B
History-A
Latin- A
Art- A

Those are my current grades. My semester GPA was a 3.95, but my total GPA was brought down from past grades.

I see a Big Mac in your future…

Edit:

It seems I overestimated you. Whopper is more like it.

^

Okay, so does anybody else want to chance me?

like everyone else said, work on the SAT (try ACT) and get your GPA up, although it’s crazy how your GPA went down by that much…
i’m visiting all three of those schools in april (:

we’re both getting in!!
whats your proposed major again?

Bump up your SATs to high 1800 or 2000 if you can then you’ll have a decent shot.

^^
Yah, i’ll work on the SAT. I’m using the SAT book, trying to figure stuff out from SAT score report and i’m also using http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/955109-silverturtles-guide-sat-admissions-success.html</a>
The 3.95 is my semester GPA. The 3.5 is my GPA for my whole time in highschool.
1st quarter GPA was a 4.1, 2nd quarter GPA was a 3.8, averaged it is a 3.95 but that is without the A grade I got on my mid-term.

I plan on getting a higher GPA. I do not know how high I can get my GPA, but I will try.

My major is Journalism for NEU, and then communications for BU and Umass Amherst.

^^
Okay. Thanks for giving me some advice.

check the schools websites about the stats on those specific programs (im sure you have already though lol).

do what i told you, search "common… something i forgot =/)

I have never been able to find individual stats for each individual major or programs, all I know are the overall stats.

I looked at the pdf you gave me, but it did not have that on there. I feel as if my chances for journalism might be a bit better that that of someone trying to get into econ or math or something like that.

ohh sorry, i thought it had majors.

You need to get up that SAT to a solid 1900ish. Your grades are okay. The extracurriculars are solid. The fact that you are a minority helps. I think you have a shot, but work at that SAT.

^Yah i’ll be working my butt off on the SAT’s. I plan to retake the about two more times.
I’m gicing my self a sold month to study what I need and then i’ll redo it.

Thanks for the advice
