To clarify, this is also what I’ve come to believe over the years; most ED FA admits actually work out well, because the schools really want these kids. 
But the important point is that ED FA applicants have nothing to fear from schools by applying; they won’t get trapped into something they can’t afford, and they won’t be blackballed by other schools.</p>
