hi, can you please chance me with Kenyon?

academic

May 1900 (CR 510, M 770, WR 620) :(
-SAT2 gonna take in June (expected: Maths1 800, Maths2 750, Chem 750)
-Secondary score (O level): Maths A, Chem A, Physics A, combined humanities A, English B, Literature C
-Expected score for Alevel: Maths A, Chem A, Physics A, Economics B, English C

major intend to take in future: Econs/Banking

Family contribution: <8k

other schools i also intend to apply to:
dream: grinnell, middlebury, vassar,
reach: macalester, bates, conncoll, dickinson, gettysburg, F&M, whitman
safety: kalamazoo, hendrix, wittenberg, hampshire

I choose these schools because i've heard these are quite generous in terms of aid to foreign students. I'm most concerned with 2 problems: my low critical reading score and my high financial need.
so what do you think?
thanks:)

I think unless English is a second language the 540 CR kills your chances when combined with the high need for financial aid, but if you actually put up those scores on the SAT2s it might be alright.
Also, banking isn’t a major.

huh? do schools actually tolerate low CR score because applicant is an international student whose 1st language is not english?
yea, English is not my 1st language.
thanks for your info anyway :)

Kenyon is rarely impressed by massive math-centered ECs. They are mostly looking for well-rounded students with a multitude of different ECs.

Do schools tolerate it? Maybe. It makes it very understandable, and the fact that you are fluent in multiple languages will certainly help your chances.

I disagree with pinkvball. While it is important that students are well rounded, I think that the massive amount of math-centered ECs shows that you are really passionate about math. It would make you stand out at Kenyon because most students study the humanities. I just finished my first year at Kenyon and when I was applying, I completely advertised myself as a math person. I took one of their creative writing application essays and I fit my love of math into the topic. I made it clear that I was interested in math and the sciences and definitely NOT the humanities. I personally think that your math and chemistry ECs would work in your favor.
