I know that my SATs/leadership aren't very impressive.. i'm hoping to compensate for that with a great essay? perhaps?

p.s... i know it doesn't do much to my stats, but i forgot to add that I worked two summers.. in restaurants. haha. no big deal.

Because of how the UC system works, your GPA and SAT scores would not get you into UCLA out of state. If you were a CA resident, it would be a whole different story.

Pomona is going to be a pretty decent reach and so is Wesleyan (though Wes is a smaller reach).

NYU CAS is a match/high match for you. It's probably your best bet out of the list.

Best wishes.

UCLA: reach

Raise your SAT score a bit and it'd be closer to a match.

Thanks for all your input...

i don't know if this changes anything, but I found statistics on UCLA admissions, and it seems as though i would be equally (if not more) likely to get into the school as a non-resident...

http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/Prospect/Adm_fr/Frosh_Prof07.htm

also, i toured UCLA last summer, and they said that applications are now reviewed holistically... so maybe they'll be able to look past my subpar SATs.. eek.

sorry to be so obnoxious but,

"bump!"

onthebound-

That website does not show you the SAT breakdowns for in-state and out-of-state kids. The scores for oos kids would be significantly higher, as a rule.

mmm. makes sense :-
