do rankings matter? anybody kno when applying to grad school and jobs do they look at the rank of that major? ucla vs ucsd bioengineering? ucsd is better by far in the ranking for this major but ucla is a higher ranked eng unv. what should i do considering i get into ucsd?

no one cares about ranking, just gpa. just do your best.

ucsd. (10char)

Where will you be happier? How in love with bioengineering are you? You'd probably have an easier time getting an internship or something at UCSD.

What they will really be looking at in grad school is not so much what university you go to but what you accomplish at that university. It would be a very good I do to do some undergraduate research and whatever university you think you will have more opportunities at you should go to.

i believe ucsd would have more opportunities it jus sucks cuz i really want to live in dorms and have a somewhat social life and looking at ucsd it seems virtually impossible unless u head twenty miles to sd's other school lol

Actually UCSD has a slightly higher ranked engineering school, for grad school.
FYI UCSD does have programs where engineering undergrads can add an extra year and get a masters.

GPA is more important than ranking
my cousin was in Cal State LA, and she was admitted by UCLA as JD because she was top student of Cal state la for under.

where do u guys think it would b easier to get a higher gpa ucla or ucsd in bioengineering.

It won't be easy either way. I would go to UCLA to get a full college experience. (sports, social scene, LA)
