High School Class of 2018:Schedules

Hey everybody,
I was just wondering if anybody out there has a similar schedule to mine, and what classes people my age are taking thanks.

Biology Honors
Spanish 1
Inquiry Skills
American Government
AP Human Geography
Algebra 2 Hnnors
English 1 Honors

BTW, I'm in IB!:D

I will be a freshman too, but IB is not available at my school. Here’s my schedule: I am taking all of the advanced classes possible (none available in history, english, or foreign language).

AP Biology
Advanced Geometry
World History
English 9
Chinese 2
Studio Art (pre req for all art classes)

I’m a sophomore and no freshmen are allowed to take APs, and only a few sophomores can take 1 AP class. There is not IB program anywhere and it’s a big school! ;(

I’m a freshman too. High school isn’t as bad as I thought it would be.
I’m taking:

Symphonic Orchestra (Hardest to make)
Bel Canto Choir (Highest a freshman can make)
Physics Pre-AP
Algebra 2 Pre-AP
Intro to Engineering Design (STEM Program)
AP Human Geography
English 1 Pre-AP
AP Comp Science (Online)
French 1 (Online)

Our school has an option to take 2-3 APs freshman year, with the option of taking AP Micro second semester

Schedule:
AP Bio
AP Human Geography
Acc. Geometry gifted
Gifted 9th grade lang
Health/PE
Latin 1

I feel old…

No IB at my school  I’m kind of glad, I heard it was really hard…

Piano
AP Human Geography
Honors Geometry
Biology
French 1
Honors English 9
Honors Algebra 2

Well, it’s not the most advanced schedule, but it would be if I was taking Honors Biology and French 2. But both of those are not my fault at all, since my old school didn’t even have French or honors science. But I’m still taking 4 weighted courses, which is the most a freshman can take, since I’m taking Honors Algebra 2. And I’m taking Piano because I took PE in summer school, so I had room for an elective, and there were no weighted electives anyway xP

Freshmen aren’t allowed to take any APs at my school. We don’t have an IB program. As for class difficulty, we have this thing called G/T, and it’s more difficult than honors but not as hard as AP, nor is it college level like AP is. G/T classes are weighted the same as APs, though.

Here’s my schedule:

G/T English 9
G/T Algebra II
G/T Biology
G/T US History
Honors Spanish II (there’s no G/T languages offered)
Jazz Ensemble
Lifetime Fitness/Health (grad requirement)

I am so scared because US History is a really hard class and currently I have a C in it. The end of the quarter is in about three weeks and I’m not sure if I have enough time to bring my grades up. Anyone have any advice? It would be very greatly appreciated!! As for the rest of high school, it’s not as bad as I thought it would be, but I am a lot busier than I was in middle school

Aw. I remember when I was a Freshman. My schedule was ahead of every other Freshman’s. xD

I THINK this was my schedule:

1st semester:
Honors Communication Skills
Honors Math II
Honors Biology
Beginning Band(I only took this so that I could take music theory.)

2nd semester:
Honors English I
Honors American History
Spanish I
Honors Math III

Am I the only one who writes down every single class that I’ve taken/that I want to take?

@tacoperson123 NO!

I write down my whole entire impending high school transcript for fun. It gets me so excited.

@MissSuzyQ, same! It’s just…fun…I guess. I love school xD

@tacoperson123‌ @MissSuzyQ What a bunch of nerds! :)

@tacoperson123‌ @MissSuzyQ‌ I did that in 8th grade  Mainly because I could actually pick classes this year, at my old school we literally couldn’t even pick electives. We even had recess .-. When I found out in high school you could double up in sciences my mind was blown O.O I was also surprised that most of your classes could have people not in the same grade as you.

@LosingCrayon Your lucky I can’t double up in science or math i:

Our School offers the IB Program and AP Courses.
I currently qualify for the IB Program but I’m not sure if I want to do it.

Honors Biology 1A
Honors English 1A
Accelerated Geometry
New Media/Health ( Hate it, wish i could take another science or math course)
World Geography Honors/ Model United Nations
Honors Spanish 2
Athletics(P.E) {Wish i could take another course, I find P.E useless}

Freshmen’s are not allowed to take AP Classes.**

My school only has 5 periods, one including lunch so,

1st semester
accelerated algebra
Honors English 1-2
Spanish 1-2
Child development

2nd semester
Geometry
Honors English 3-4
Conceptual physics
physical education

Ap Us Goverment
Honors English 9
P.E
Spanish 2A
Honors Geometry
Honors Physics
Ceramics

You guys are lucky! The only classes I was able to choose were my two electives.

I’m currently an 8th grader but I take high school classes and will graduate in 2018. The classes that I have taken so far are:

Biology I
Spanish I
Earth/Environmental Science
Physical Science
World History
English I

I was not allowed to take honors because I’m in middle school (unfair) but I’ll be a sophomore by the time I start my first year of high school. I live in a rural area but the H.S. is big! I can’t wait to take AP clases :-)

Web Design
Spanish 2
Psych 1
English 1 Honors
Team Sports 1 (Gym)
Chem 1 Honors
Bio 1 Honors
AP Calc BC (Online)

My counselor wouldn’t let me take AP CS A online :(

I’m a freshman too on block schedule!
PA Physics
Accelerated Geometry/ Algebra 2 PA
PA 9th English
AP Human Geography
Health/Fitness (required)
Band
Intro to Graphic Design (not sure what this is, but its taken at a college nearby. We ride buses to it during the school day)
PA Spanish 1
My schedule looks really good  I can’t wait until next semester because that’s when I have AP Human Geography and that’s what I’m most excited for! The thought of AP classes are fun. Also, I’m the only freshmen in my math class with sophomores and I have the highest grade in there (103).
Now I’m just waiting for Freshman year to be over so I can have AP Chemistry next year
