@Sightreader I agree! At my school freshmen can’t take any APs and sophomores can only take AP Music Theory, -AP Gov, and APUSH…
Ours will no joke not let you take them, even if you meet all he previous requirements. I had the previous science credits, and they STILL wouldn’t let me take AP Physics, AP Bio, or AP Chem. It really sucks.
@Sightreader ugh, that stinks. My school at least let me take Algebra II over the summer so I can take Precalc this year. If you want to join a study group, check my thread on it. I’m looking to make a group of people who are serious about their academics.
Thanks, I’d love to join.
@BucketsUCSC: I’m gonna apply to a UC. My goal is to get a A in Geometry and take Algebra 2 over the summer.
@Sightreader you are so lucky man, at my school if you take algebra 2 over the summer you can’t take honors precalc only regular, and yeah I’m also taking honors spanish 3 because I hear it’s an easy A at my school
and @cxprus 1) i’m not sure what you’re going to major in but I don’t know why you would not be taking a science sophomore year. 2) Instead of honors World History why don’t you take AP it’s probably not that much harder but will give you at least one uc honors course 3) Since you don’t have any UC weighted honors you should take at least honors spanish 3
@BucketsUCSC I’m interested in Psychology as of now. AP World History isn’t available at my school so my only solution is self study it. Honors Spanish 3 isn’t even offered at my school not that I know of.

Saving money to travel, learning new languages, hopefully going to Russia next summer
@cxprus I guess that isnt that bad since Uc’s have a weird weighting system they only weight 8 semesters worth of honors credit so they’ll only count up to 4 classes worth of honors credit, so as long as you take like 4 AP’s junior year I guess you should be good, @JLBball5 so you also play ball cool, I hate how I have to compromise getting better at B-ball to focus on all these honors, and AP’s, probablly more for you since you’re schedule is even more hardcore
@BucketsUCSC Ikr!!! Not only that but i have to quit debate because it conflicts with basketball! Last year i got dropped down From Jv to freshmen basketball because i missed a practice
My friend also quit debate for basketball, but freshmen year was easy so it wasn’t that but but this year it’s going to
be all about B-ball and basketball, and are you trying to get a scholarship? I’m not because Basketball is way too competitive for me to put my grades at risk. Are you trying to get into a UC? What are you going to major in because you have FBLA and Pre-med it seems conflicting LOL
AP European History
AP Computer science
Honors Algebra II
Honors Chemistry
Honors English II
Honors Spanish II

this list is probably on going I’m going to see what else my school has to offer before I join more but just want to say I AM SO JEALOUS OF EVERYONE W DEBATE AS A CLASS I desperately want to really dive into debate but its kinda of lowkey I guess at my school
