For schools that don’t allow lower levels to take AP classes, is that a disadvantage for getting into colleges? Or do colleges take that into account and disregard it?

^ I’m pretty sure colleges take it into account. You should try and have the most rigorous possible, though.

I wonder some of these posters haven’t been on the Class of 2016 thread :

Also, maybe we should put some context of the classes [I.E this is a pre-req for AP Something, or this class is for seniors, etc.]

I don’t think Intro to Engineering and Design is a must for AP Computer Science…I’m not sure if it has anything to do with it. I’m pretty sure you just need to have an extensive knowledge of programming languages such as Java.

Acc. Algebra 2/Trig

Spanish 3 (no honors)
Aerobics/AP Psych (im the only sophmore taking ap psych…:D)

I feel like such a failure compared to you guys! Yet, the people at my school think my schedule is insane…lol… Do you guys think i should switch out of world history and into ap us history, a 11-12 grade class, to make my schedule seem more challenging? Ive thought about it but decided against it. Since world history is required to graduate, i would still have to take it in junior or senior year…idk… that just seemed awkward to me! Lol! Id be a junior or senior in a sophmore class…XD. What do you guys think?

Honors English II

If that’s very insane compared to other classmates’ schedules, then go for it! Most of us here are just overachievers or lying, and you shouldn’t pay any attention to what they say. Just be proud that you’re taking a harder schedule than your classmates. :)
