High School credit for Princeton classes?

Hello:

I've heard that students from nearby West Windsor Plainsboro High School and Princeton High School can take their senior year classes at Princeton University for credit. See link below:

http://phs.prs.k12.nj.us/PHShandbook.htm (search for High School Program at Princeton University)

Does anyone know if this is favorably looked upon in the admissions office?

Does it matter? Unless you go to those schools...

Why yes it does matter.

I'm considering buying property in either West Windsor or Princeton Township. My kids aren't in high school yet, but I wanted to see if taking classes at Princeton U made any difference in admission decisions or not.

Make an appointment with the West Windsor High School Counseling office, and ask to see the college placement records for the past three years.

One of my friends goes to Princeton High School and is a junior this year. He's been taking classes at Princeton Univ for some time now, though. Next year, he'll be going to Princeton Univ early, even though he won't graduate from high school. Although he's a genius, I'm sure him taking classes at Princeton affected his admissions.

You can read more about it here: http://www.aapt.org/olympiad2005/bio.cfm?StudentID=440

I live on the other side of the nation in Cali and I too take classes at Stanford for Stanford credit. Palo Alto high school also has a certain program where students take Stanford classes. I live in Saratoga, but yeah...

princeton high school sends a lotta students to princeton each years, but mainly because the students there are children of princeton professors

Instead of going to the guidance offices for each school, it was easier to look this info on the web. Here are the details about each respective school with regards to Princeton University admissions:

Princeton High School: 48 students (class years 2000-2003) or an average of 12 students per year
http://phs.prs.k12.nj.us/Guidance/PHSprofile2003-04.pdf

West Windsor Plainsboro High School (North & South) combined: 11 students (class years 02-04) or an average of 3.67 students per year
http://www.west-windsor-plainsboro.k12.nj.us/forms3/High%20School%20Profile%202004.pdf

Now both school districts offer the opportunity for High school students to take Princeton University classes, but as someone else pointed out, the children of faculty are much more likely to get in, hence the reason why Princeton High's much higher acceptance rate.
