I’m in a very tough situation right now and I don’t know what to do. So, I got accepted to the Governor’s Academy, but got waitlisted at Phillips Exeter. I love Governor’s, but I would be boarding there and my heart has also been set on my top choice of Exeter. I’m stuck between going to Governor’s or doing a year of public school then reapplying to Exeter where my chances are better. I’m also nervous if a miracle happens and I get off the Exeter waitlist and won’t be able to accept if I am committed to Govs, or if I do not commit to Govs and don’t get off the waitlist at all. I am nervous about boarding and that is a big aspect in my decision. Honestly, I don’t know if I am patient enough to wait a whole another year and still have Exeter be a ‘maybe’. Should I just take my opportunity at Governor’s or still stay intent on Exeter? My deadline to tell Governor’s my decision is April 10th and I am running out of time. Does anyone with experience with these schools have any advice??
You should probably post this in the Prep School Admissions forum. Could someone move this? @skieurope
