I'm an international transfer student from Purdue in the hopes of joining UMich this fall. I basically submitted all the documents and stuff but I still have a question that kinda bothers me. My secondary school was under the British education system, meaning that I graduated from high school after Form Five(which is the 5th year). So technically I didn't finish Grade 12 or having taken GED. I called the admissions office a couple of times but I got different replies every time I called. Some didn't quite get what I was trying to ask while some said that it wouldn't matter as that was the system of my home country and especially in my case as a transfer, high school record doesn't even matter. However, my high school classmate was having trouble with his UIUC transfer application because othey are sticking with the Grade 12/GED rule.My question is, DOES IT MATTER? Will they completely snub my application simply because of that? It just wouldn't make sense to me if they considered me ineligible.
