High School Junior majoring in Computer Science

<p>Context: I plan on majoring in Computer Science (double majoring in Physics is likely too) and feel very concerned regarding what steps I should be/have been taken to ensure success.</p>

<p>Questions:</p>

<p>What sort of important things set computer science majors apart from one another? Are there any questions admission officers use to gauge one's technical know how? What is the best way for a soon to be senior to prepare for taking Computer science in college? Any other key information for either of my majors would be well received.</p>

<p>Take calculus, and AP Computer Science AB if it’s offered at your school. Many high-school-age computer geeks seem to do a lot of stuff on their own or with likeminded friends as their interests don’t necessarily align well with what’s offered in hs.</p>
