In your opinion…it’s much more scarce for those that have a crappy courseload to get into HYPS and the like. Seriously, if I wasn’t so lazy I would prefer the much AP’s track because it actually prepares you and stuff. Think, that even if a select few do get into HYPS with less rigorous than others, those have a bigger probability to struggle much more in HYPS and the like. Do you actually think that HYPS admission officers are dumb enough just to go, “ZOMG this kid from rich school with 3 AP’s reject and this kid 0 AP’s crap school ADMIT!”

I have seen about 4 seniors in school take 8+ AP tests during the year. Someone ran out of AP ID Stickers one time. He had another test the day after too. The whole class was like O_O. Those students obviously don’t get senioritis.

And a student assistance/study hall type class. I have generalized anxiety disorder.

I’m considering self-studying some APs. But my parents, who pay for the tests, would kill me. What they don’t realize is if I was to self study, say, AP Environmental Science, I would probably be better off than if I simply took it at school, since the teacher doesn’t…teach. At least not at AP standards
