High School Student...UPenn Hopeful?

I'm from a small town but I don't want that to hold me back from pursuing my Ivy League dreams. I'm going to enter my junior year in August, and I was wondering what I can do to give myself the best chances of getting accepted to UPenn. I have the resources I need to take the SAT, ACT, and SAT subject tests. I have multiple AP courses offered and plan to take as many as I can; I've already taken some (don't have my AP scores back yet). I took the SAT last September, my score was 2000. I know I can score higher now because I've been studying. I'm also first in my class. Art is my passion, but as far as undergraduate programs I am interested in engineering, anthropology, and physics/astronomy.

Any tips?? What does UPenn look for?

In what geographic region of the US do you live?

He lives in South Carolina…says on his profile. Given that, I think you still need competitive stats, which you seem to have, and being from SC is a huge advantage, in admissions terms. I was accepted from Cali and I have a few accepted friends in NY/NJ-These are the WORST places to be in since the density of high acheivers is tremendous, but we still pulled through.

You definitely have a fighting chance. Best of luck!

Yep, I live in SC. (I’m a she btw). And thank you! I didn’t think about the reigon affecting the competition.
