Would my chances be higher for an ivy league if I went to the #6 high school for the gifted and made top quartile or 200th high school and made 7%?
6 or 200th high school in your state or in the nation?
Why the ivy league (just thinking of them as a group lumped together would mean you don’t think of fit and that’s lethal for level of selectivity.)
Anyway, if a higher performing or regular school, top 10%; if a lower performing school with few students going to college, you basically have to be top 3-5 with maximum rigor.
In Texas obviously it’s top 7%, top 10%, top 20%.
