<p>Thank you for taking the time to post and update us. My gut told me you would be successful at many of those. I think often times especially with boys, they don’t get it together from a grade standpoint until junior or senior year, yet test scores show they do understand the material and have retained much of what they learned.</p>
<p>I have a son in a somewhat similar situation. he has a higher GPA but low for where he wants to apply.</p>
<p>I think you also made the point that often gets lost here. Its not all about test scores and GPA. Good essays, ECs and recommendations are important too and at some schools carry as much or more weight than the GPA!</p>
