I scored in the 99th percentile overall, with a 2334, but do schools weigh SSAT’s heavily when admitting students? I’d like to know if a high score will help me much in the admissions process.
If you have no ECs, they will penalize you. A friend of mine scored 2380 (99) and she was denied to Exeter, Andover, most schools except Concord. She has no ECs. Of course a 2334 is a great score, and schools do weigh that quite a lot, but ECs are as important.
A high score is a reason not to discard your application
Remember too, that you could be awesome in all respects but not be a fit for the school. Of course, low scores could make you a poor fit as well! Schools want to take kids they think will thrive there, and they have way more experience with that assessment than any of us here.
