What are they? I've heard of software engineering/computer science jobs that pay $6000ish a month and finance stuff that pays $5000ish a month. Anything more than that?

yes, you can get up to 15-20k pretax a month as an intern in ib if you’re on the west coast

^^^ BS alert. That’s a prorated annual salary of $180K-$240K, more than the salary of all the analysts and associates (before bonus) that you’re supposed to be learning from. OP, the numbers you have are a lot more accurate.

It’s not BS. Cali has overtime pay rules that don’t exist I’m NYC. Cali SAs could potentially finish the summer with 40k

^^^Anyone who calls California Cali doesn’t know what he/she is talking about.

You can absolutely make 40k over 10 weeks. I know someone making base salary prorated for the first 40 hrs than 1.5x overtime (over $50/hr). Working 100 hours a week for 10 weeks is roughly 40k. Some West coast firms even pay 2x over 70 I believe.

Not BS. Like someone mentioned, you get paid hourly as an intern, salary as full time. Hourly you can pick up overtime - and when overtime is 40-60 hours a week at 2x base rate, making 40k is possible.

Yeah I’ve read about those internships on Wall Street Oasis. Are they harder to get an offer from because of this? I don’t know anyone who’s actually doing them.

What about specific companies? Which are highest paying?
