And you think there is a perfect correlation between 4.0s and 2300+s?

No, but a 0.2 correlation would suffice for my estimate to be accurate and I’d guess that the correlation between the two is certainly higher than that.

I am curious to see where you got that information.
I remember reading tokenadult’s pdf, could you maybe tell me where the link is?

What information? The number of 2300+ scorers on the SAT?
http://professionals.collegeboard.com/profdownload/sat_percentile_ranks_composite_cr_m_w.pdf

Aha.
That pdf.
Thanks.
I wanted to see how many students have over a 2100.

Wow. 131 people got a 600 on their SAT.
How did they manage that?

Aye… I heard something about a correlation between lower SAT scores and specific geographic regions…my friend so far remembers 3 people who attended Harvard from my school (In Saudi Arabia) with 2000-2050 SATs… only 1 was legacy, the other 2 were 3.8 and 3.78/4 …

do colleges actually cut some slack for specific geographical areas? and do they do the opposite for areas that they know for sure that have stronger students?

I used to trade on a U.S. Equity simulator platform, raked in $149,000, started out with $50,000 in the game(smack dab in the middle of the recession). Thats before I invested the money in the actual FX account. My internship will primarily be Mergers&Acquisitions AND Sales&Trading/brokerage services related work (Maybe just tiiiny bit in Asset Management). I will ask’em to re-emphasize the brokerage work, since Im pretty sure I wont be doing anything that important in M&A (as the case with any intern)

I also forgot to mention that I wrote 2 finance (1 explaining the Gold-dollar relationship, and the other explaining the recession to students…my computer with said data crashed, but the editor-in-chief can vouch for me) articles this year, but the school’s english magazine flopped after the first issue, and nobody from the 12th graders was willing to pick it up and keep going (you have to be grade 12 apparently to run a club at my school!! stupid). I spoke to the english teacher, and he was willing to let me run a finance magazine on my own!! Oh yeah! Apparently, if Im on my own, It has to be a bi-weekly magazine/bulletin! seriously, my school has the dumbest rules EVER

How can I actually prove my profits to the adcoms? Do I send them an account statement at the bank or is that overdoing it??

No clue.
But I think they recognize that internationals sometimes have lower SAT scores.
Exceptions: Korea, China,…etc

As I already elaborated, I think it is an overdo.
Are you ONLY applying to Wharton?

konig u are tailoring ur application WAY too much…
do this internship if ur interested…if not, dont do it.

I agree with Sid. There is a difference between showing passion and acting desperate. Sending a bank statement would just make you seem excessively desperate.

@LebronJames(!!! It feels funny saying that!!!): Definately…! No, other schools. I’m not sure on whether I’ll apply ED to UPenn-Wharton or to NYU-Stern.

@Sidromaus:I’m VERY interested, I said that in my first post. I was just wondering how useful its going to be. I just want everything to be perfect and unique! I don’t want to march along an army of applications. I want to standout with my passion, not just grades!

@JebarPolsky: I’m afraid they might take me as a liar or a bluffer. I’ve been lied to too much to believe someone easily…I guess its a natural instinct, huh?

I am sure that if they doubt someone’s achievements, they will ask for proof. They won’t jump straight to the conclusion that someone is a liar without looking at some sort of proof.

I heard in Stanford they google you.
So if it is like a national, international achievement, it is always wise to have your name on the internet.

Yeah, I think you will do great.
Once again: Do not concentrate on one part of the application too much.

Peace my Saudi Arabian Homeboy =)
You will do great!

Thanks my American homie! lol heh thank you guys!
