I'm just wondering if my schedule will be reasonable next year, a lot of my friends don't think so because of the workload, so can anyone with experience or something tell if it is do able?
My schedule is
-AP Chem
-AP NSL
-Honors English 10
-Honors Biology
-Honors Chinese 5
-Honors Precalc
I have straight A's right now so yea..
And top all that off, i am doing football next year, so assume that i get home arond 6:30 everyday.

definitely doable. What year is this? sophomore?

sophomore, thanks now i feel a little bit better. I’m guessing its gonna be a lot of late nights?

What’s AP NSL?

umm… it depends on time management. Next year i am a senior, and I plan on taking 6 APs. This is only possible with working hard… even on the weekends. If u ever feel like u need help, talk tour teachers. it is always good to have good relations with them.

^^AP US Gov. and Politics

can someone estimate how much homework each class will have please? im trying to see if i can manage my time well.

well, I took bio in 9th grade… so its been a while. I remember working my butt off and getting one of the highest grades in the whole grade. Maybe 30 minutes a night for bio?
chinese-no idea
precalc- 30 minutes
AP Chem-45 minutes?
AP NSL- 30 minutes?
english- 20 minutes at most.
I really wouldnt worry. At most, u may get 2 hours of hw a night.

^Depends. Some schools are difficult, some are easy.

How much time do you spend on homework now? You might get 10-50% more or so.

my school was a REALLY tough school, so expect less than me…

i mean i spread my homework out right now because i take a lot of breaks now, but if its consolidated, about 2 hours. So you think i will be able to handle it?

yeah man. it sounds like a good schedule to me. and football is only in the fall, so u wont have to worry about it during the rest of the year

Ok thanks guys it really helped me out a lot, appreciate it.

I’m going to be a sophomore next year as well. I go to a public high school but am ranked first. Your schedule looks very doable, if stressful and tiring. I think that the biggest problem might be when you have an actual football game. That shouldn’t be a problem though unless you have a project that’s due immediately afterword and especially a few tests. My school uses project-based learning so I might have to drop tennis next year. Hope this helps.

yea but my games will mostly be on Fridays i think, occasionally Thursdays which will be pretty bad.

This is how much homework we would have at my school for those classes: Btw, do you have a study hall then too?

AP Chem: 1-3 hours, varies depending on labs.
AP NSL (someone said this = AP US Gov, right?): different teacher now than when I took it, my teacher sucked, but my sister is in it this year. They have reading homework 2-3 days a week that is 30-60 minutes, and then tests every 3 or so weeks, and have had about 8 papers this year, so it varies, can choose when to do it sort of.
Honors English & Biology: maybe 30 minutes each
Honors Chinese: idk, cuz we don’t have Chinese, but for other foreign language classes we do have, it’s not a lot (like for Spanish 1 & 2 we had 15-30 minutes, Honors 3 had 1-2 hours but not each day, and about the same for AP).
Honors PreCalc: I only spent about 30-45 minutes on PreCalc hw, but I know people who it also took 60-90 minutes, so, depends on if you’re good at math or not.
